On a Socks Kick Lately

I finished knitting my first pair of sock in September of 2008.
I still have and wear them.
However some of my other socks have not faired as well.
A few pairs have shrunk a little like the superwash is wearing off.

I haven't knit socks for a long time, over 6 months then something happened . . .
my sock love kicked back in!

First up is this lovely pair knit with yarn from Ellen's Half Pint Farm
that has been sitting in my stash for many years.
I'm a sucker for anything in any shade of any Caribbean water.
These were a gift for my Mom.

Here is a pair made from Hazel Knits Artisan Sock in color way "Nemo".
No pattern just a seed stitch cuff, short row heel (w&t) and a box toe.
Yarn is a gift from my Portland peeps.
Nemo was my beloved black cat who left us about 6 years ago.
(Since he came first the movie was named after him)
I have owned a Nemo, knit a Nemo and
will fondly remember Nemo whenever I wear these socks.

Next up is another yet another plain sock
Knit Picks Stroll in color way "Hearth Multi".
2x2 rib cuff, another short row heel (w&t) and box toe.
The leg portion is a little longer on this one.

Then I knit with my first skein of Berroco self stripping sock yarn.
What fun to knit nothing but stockinette and have it look like I used multiple yarns.

Finally since I felt I was due for a fancy pair I pulled Pointelle from
Cookie A's book Knit.Love.Sock.
Another Hazel Knits Artisan Sock yarn,
color way - In the Clover; also bought at Twisted in PDX.
(BTW - I love this yarn store)

I think my sock love is back and still talking to me
cause I'm currently anxious to start the next pair.
This time I'm designing . . .
